Jiayi Fang

She/Her

Jiayi is a high school student in Sydney who strives to make a positive impact wherever she can through volunteering, community work, or simply showing up for others.

She has had the privilege of working with incredible organisations like Womn-Kind, Ocean Youth, St John Ambulance, the Red Cross, Kids Giving Back, Youth4Difference, Zooniverse, Plates4Mates, Vinnies, Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, Bravehearts, The Kids’ Cancer Project, and more. She also co-founded Wastebusters Sydney, an environmental initiative focused on sustainability and collective action. Through these experiences, she has seen the power of small, consistent actions, teamwork, and the joy of giving back.

At school, Jiayi leads the Human Rights Society and STEM Club while participating in Model UN, vocal ensemble, band, dance, the Environment Committee, and the SRC. In her spare time, Jiayi enjoys reading, writing, volunteering, studying for fun, and hanging out with her friends and family.

She aspires to a career in medicine, where she can merge her love for science, healthcare, learning, and service to care for people and create meaningful change. Guided by the words, “Be the change you want to see in the world,” Jiayi hopes to continue making a difference - no matter where life takes her.
