Akeena-Rose is 15 and was always told growing up to lead with honesty and heart. Being the oldest child of 4 and being in boarding school at Sydney, she credits her mum as her greatest role model as she is a very strong woman and never gives up and always finds a way to keep going.
She’s always looking for an opportunity to help others and is driven to make her family proud. Akeena has had a different high school experience to others, now a boarder. A turning point in Akeena’s life was the passing of her father and through that she found how unspoken grief affects so many people and why finding resilience is so important.
Shaped by her own experiences, Akeena is a proud Kamilaroi and Wiradjuri woman. Working alongside with the Womn-Kind, she’s passionate about helping others and creating a safe supportive space where people and be seen and heard.
Akeenas favourite sports include netball, touch and rugby!
